Pocket Option Free Tournament - Join and Win
What Is a Pocket Option Free Tournament
On our platform, tournaments are built right into the trading interface at pocketoption.com. They do not sit in a separate app or product. Any registered user with a verified account sees the tournament section in the same place where regular trading happens.
We run two main types of contests: free and paid. A free tournament has no entry fee at all. You do not tie any separate deposit to that contest, you just use your verified account and get a starting tournament balance.
Every participant enters with the same virtual balance, usually T100 units. This is a tournament-only amount, fully isolated from your real trading funds. Your place in the ranking depends only on the profit you generate from that T100. The size of your live account or your total deposit history does not move you up or down, which makes the conditions much more equal than in standard trading.
The formats themselves are quite different from one another. Some contests are short, for about an hour. Others are set for a day, and some can last up to a week. The “Day Off” tournament is one of our regular free formats: it runs daily, offers a $250 prize pool, and everyone starts with T100 tournament units. A paid format like “Hour Play” takes a $1 entry fee, works for one hour and has a $100 prize fund. In every case, both free and paid, the prize is credited as real money to your live trading account when you claim it.
| Tournament Format | Entry Fee | Prize Fund | Duration | Starting Balance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Day Off | Free | $250 | Daily | T100 |
| Hour Play | $1 | $100 | 1 hour | T100 |
| Other paid formats | From $1 | Varies | Varies | T100 |
How to Join a Free Tournament
For tournament access, account verification is the first mandatory step. Without a verified profile, the Join button simply does not appear in the tournament card. This is not optional for us, it is a strict platform rule.
Once verification is confirmed, the entry process is quite direct. Log in at pocketoption.com and open the right-side navigation bar. Inside that menu you will find the Tournaments section. When you go there, you see a list of all active and upcoming contests. Free events are clearly marked with $0 or a “Free” label next to the entry line.
To see if a tournament suits you, click its name. The card opens with information on the prize fund, how it is split, start and end time, maximum participants and basic rules. After that, move to the Registration tab and press “Join” or “Confirm participation”.
For a free tournament, we do not take any amount from your balance. Paid formats work differently: the entry fee is charged from your real account automatically, right at the moment you confirm participation. Once you are in, your tournament balance of T100 activates and you can place trades inside that contest interface.
During the contest, you can check where you stand. Use the Statistics tab, which shows the live leaderboard and updates while the tournament runs. You see your own result, the gap to the next rank and how the prize zone is forming in real time.
Eligibility for Indian Users
For traders in India, the same basic lock applies: until your account passes verification, no tournament entry is allowed. The verification section in your profile is where you upload identity documents and wait for approval.
Some specific formats add one more requirement. Third-party materials often mention a minimum live balance of about $100 as a common condition, even for free contests. On our side, the official Pocket Option blog explains that free tournaments themselves do not require any deposit to pay an entry fee. At the same time, we do recommend making at least a minimum deposit to fully activate the account and see the entire tournament panel. The exact limits, minimum balances, and technical requirements are set per contest, so checking the rules tab before you hit Join is always a good habit.
For Indian residents, all operations inside the platform are processed in USD. Your INR funds are converted when you deposit via the payment methods available in your account at the moment of funding. We do not charge our own fee on deposit or withdrawal operations. However, payment processors, banks or wallet providers might apply their charges, and this part stays on their side, not ours.
| Condition | Free Tournament | Paid Tournament |
|---|---|---|
| Account verification | Required | Required |
| Entry fee | $0 | From $1 (auto-deducted) |
| Minimum real balance | Varies by contest | Varies by contest |
| Deposit required for entry | Not for the contest itself | Yes, to cover the fee |
| Prize paid to | Live account | Live account |
How Free Tournaments Work
Pocket Option runs free trading tournaments directly inside the platform at pocketoption.com, with no separate app needed. Every participant starts with the same virtual tournament balance of T100 units, fully separate from real account funds. Rankings are based only on profit generated during the contest period, so your live account size does not affect your position. The “Day Off” format is a regular free tournament with a $250 prize fund and a daily schedule open to verified accounts. Account verification is required before joining any tournament, and some contests may also require a minimum balance in the live account. The rebuy feature lets you restore your tournament balance when it drops below the starting level, giving you a second chance in the same contest.
- Prize funds start from $250 for free formats
- Virtual T100 balance keeps tournament trades separate from real funds
- Winners claim prizes directly from the History tab by clicking “Take the prize”

The Rebuy Feature
Rebuy is a tool that lets you refill your tournament balance while the contest is still running. It is not always visible. The option appears only after your current tournament balance falls below the original T100 level.
In real usage this looks like:
- You trade with your T100 and watch how the balance changes.
- When the amount goes below T100, a Rebuy button becomes active in the tournament interface.
- You click it and a separate tab opens with a short confirmation step.
- In free tournaments, rebuy becomes available strictly after the balance drops under the starting amount.
- In paid formats, the rebuy price is equal to the initial entry fee and we deduct it from your real account balance.
- After you confirm, we add T100 units back on your tournament balance.
There is also a tactical side that some users in tournaments like to use. If your balance is slightly above T100, you might want to increase your working amount. One approach is to place a small trade that pushes the balance just under the T100 mark, then immediately apply rebuy. As a result, you end up with roughly double the previous tournament capital, which can seriously change your ability to move up the leaderboard. We describe this approach in our own training materials, so it is a normal, allowed practice, not a trick against the rules.
Claiming Your Prize
When a contest ends and you finish in a prize position, the funds do not simply land on your live balance without any action from you. You need to claim the reward manually from your account interface.
To do that, open the History section once the tournament shows as completed. Find the contest in the list and open the details. Inside the tournament card, switch to the Progress tab. There you will see a control labeled “Take the prize” or “Claim the prize”. After you press it, the amount is transferred to your live trading account as real money.
The sum you receive depends on your final rank and the prize distribution grid for that contest. Only traders who close the tournament inside the prize places receive payouts. The total number of rewarded positions, as well as how much each place gets, can always be checked in the rules before you register. This removes surprises about how the pool is shared.
Trading Inside a Tournament
Trading in a Pocket Option free tournament is not the same as trading on your main account balance. In contests, what matters is not the absolute dollar result but the relative performance. Everybody begins with T100, and the ranking compares who grows that amount faster and higher.
This kind of format often pushes participants to use large trade sizes too early, hoping for a quick jump to the top. Our experience and strategy content show that this usually hurts more than it helps. A more balanced approach is to start with smaller position sizes, keep the drawdown low, and try not to burn the initial capital during the first phases.
The actual instruments you trade inside a tournament can include forex pairs, crypto assets, and standard binary or fixed-time options. The exact list is always written in the specific contest rules, so you know which markets are in play before entering. Use the same technical tools and fundamental data that you rely on in your main trading, but adjust risk to the contest format.
There is also a timing factor. When you are already inside a prize zone on the leaderboard, it often makes sense to reduce risk and protect your place, instead of chasing a bit more profit. If your rank is below the payout line and the remaining time is short, higher-risk trades might be the only realistic way to reach the prize places. The rebuy option fits into that logic: it should stay a conscious decision that you take based on position and remaining time, not just a quick reaction each time one trade fails.
One more general observation that matters here: in contests where everyone starts with the same balance, traders who lose early and try to recover aggressively are usually the ones who end up at the bottom of the table. Those who stay patient in the first half and only increase risk later often finish stronger. This pattern is common across tournament formats, not only on our platform.

Detailed explanations of how our trading contests are structured are published at pocketoption.com/blog/en/knowledge-base/trading/trading-contest/. Binary options and fixed-time trades are high-risk financial instruments. Tournament trades use live market quotes and lead to real prize payments, so the outcome of your decisions has direct financial impact. Before you click Join on any Pocket Option free tournament, read through the rules and conditions, because eligibility, minimum balance requirements and prize allocation can differ from one contest format to another.
FAQ
Do I need to deposit money to join a Pocket Option free tournament?
For free tournaments, Pocket Option states that no deposit is required for that specific contest entry. However, you must have a verified account, and in practice some tournaments may require your live account to meet a minimum balance condition, so check the rules of each individual tournament before joining.
How does the virtual tournament balance work in Pocket Option contests?
Each participant starts with the same virtual tournament balance, for example T100 units, which is completely separate from your real trading funds. You trade using this virtual balance during the contest period, and your ranking is determined by the profit you generate from it, not by your actual account balance.
Can Indian users participate in Pocket Option free tournaments?
Pocket Option markets its tournaments to an international audience, and Indian users can register and access the tournaments section on pocketoption.com. However, binary options trading involves significant risk and operates in a legally sensitive area in India, so users should review local regulations before participating.
What is the rebuy feature in a Pocket Option tournament and how does it work?
The rebuy feature allows you to restore your tournament balance when it drops below the starting amount, giving you another chance to climb the leaderboard. In free tournaments, rebuy becomes available only after your balance falls below the initial threshold, while in paid tournaments the rebuy cost equals the original participation fee.
How do I claim my prize after winning a Pocket Option tournament?
After the tournament ends, you can claim your prize by going to the History section of your account, finding the completed tournament, and clicking the option to claim the prize. The reward is credited as real money directly to your live trading account.
